Olympic Casino Latvia starts offering sports betting

Expanding its range of services from February 17 Olympic Casino Latvia (OCL) has started offering its clients in Sigulda, Cesis and Valmiera new service – possibility to make sports bets in the casino. OCL is the first gaming operator in Latvia who has opened it’s betting shops in own casinos.

Gints Pakarklis (Gints Pakārklis), Chairman of the Board of Olympic Casino Latvia: „Currently in all Olympic Casino we offer to place sports bets in so-called OlyBet terminals, which essentially is a computer in the casino premises, from which one can access our internet casino. New service simplifies the process as registration will no longer be necessary – a client approaches cashier, tells the sports event and bet amount, gets a receipt – and that’s basically it. Placing of bets has never been so easy so now our guests can spend more time watching their favourite sports games.”

OCL has started offering sports betting and casino games in its internet casino OlyBet in August 2013, receiving a licence from Lotteries and Gambling Supervisory Inspection. OlyBet is one of the four licensed in Latvia internet casino operators and it operates under laws of Latvia.
